Jesica Miller

I graduated as a registered nurse in 2000. I started my nursing career in an adult cardiac icu. I really enjoyed the challenge.

I decided to change gears and started working in maternal child nursing after the birth of my first son in 2004. I loved the idea of being a part of such a special time in a family's life. Breastfeeding was a challenge for me. I developed a strong interest in breastfeeding and a desire to help other breastfeeding mothers after my second child was born. I had many challenges but was able to reach my goal thanks to the support of the two amazing lactation consultants that I worked with. I went on to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 2008.

I have been working in a community hospital as a lactation consultant for the past four years. I saw a need for more support once mother's are home and started Learn, Latch and Love in August 2014. I offer in home lactation consultations, prenatal breastfeeding classes, back to work consultations, and an evening support group for nursing moms.
